More working visas for Mexican migrants, says Biden to AMLO

As a result of the meeting he held at the White House with the president of the United States, Joe Biden, Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) reported that the number of visas for Mexican and Central American migrants will be increased.

During his ‘morning’ press conference, the Mexican president explained that in the meeting with his counterpart there was talk of increasing work visas for Latin Americans.

We also talked about the need to expand the number of temporary work visas for Mexico, for Central America, this was accepted, the number of work visas to enter the United States will be considerably increased,” said AMLO.

The Mexican president reiterated that a labor force is needed in the United States, which is why it is important to carry out a labor plan.

In addition, he recalled the Bracero program, which was applied in times of World War II between the United States and Mexico.

“There is a reality: there is a lack of labor force in the United States and it is necessary to produce, grow, and the labor force is essential, so it is an important moment, decisive to carry out a labor, migratory plan, as in its time it was the Bracero program, there are other times, other circumstances, but it is what is needed and we proposed that and it will be analyzed, as I already said, there is a commitment to increase the number of temporary work visas,” revealed AMLO
