Former Michoacán Governor Silvano Aureoles Conejo’s Ranch Raided, Money-Filled Vaults Discovered

Morelia, Michoacán.- The Mexican Army raided a ranch located in the town of Lagunillas, in the municipality of Morelia, on Tuesday, which allegedly belongs to the former governor of Michoacán, Silvano Aureoles Conejo.

According to initial reports, various vaults and safety deposit boxes filled with money were found on the ranch, but the exact amount and origin of the money is not yet known.

The allegations against the former governor are that he allegedly used different lend names to acquire ranches and properties in different parts of the state in order to conceal the number of properties he has and avoid potential accusations of embezzlement, illegal enrichment, and corruption.
