“Clara: Creator of Utopias”, the documentary about Clara Brugada is now being promoted in theaters

Mexico City.- “Clara: Creator of Utopias”, a documentary focused on Clara Brugada, former councilwoman of Iztapalapa and candidate for the Head of Government of Mexico City, is now being promoted in movie theaters across the country.

Behind this cinematic work is the talented Mario Mandujano; this renowned Mexican filmmaker, editor, and producer has brought to the big screen the life story and national vision of Brugada.

“I long for a city that values sexual diversity; where walking and the use of bicycles prevail; a peaceful, balanced, safe city that promotes prosperity and economic growth. I seek an inclusive city, I aspire to a metropolis that is the refuge for everyone’s ‘utopias'”, Brugada shares in the film’s trailer.

The trailer showcases the ‘Utopias’ (Units for Transformation and Organization for Inclusion and Social Harmony), emblematic projects of her administration in Iztapalapa, which led to sports, cultural, educational, and leisure areas for the district’s citizens.

Additionally, in the documentary, communicator and author Sabina Berman points out that “there are politicians who stand out from the rest,” distinguishing between politicians who take office to serve versus those who take office to serve themselves.

While the movie doesn’t yet have a release date, it has already generated great anticipation among citizens not only from Mexico City but from the entire country.
