455 kilograms of marijuana seized by GN and the Army in Tumbiscatío

Tumbiscatío, Michoacán.- Monday, February 19, 2024.- A total of 455 kilograms of marijuana were seized by the National Guard and the Army after a packaging point for the drug was located in a rural area, which was operated by a criminal group.

According to information obtained by this news agency, as part of anti-crime efforts in the municipality of Tumbiscatío, the authorities found the aforementioned site used for packaging marijuana, located in the town of Graciano Sánchez.

In the area, tarps were found spread on the ground, containing marijuana. Additionally, other containers with the drug and 13 bags containing marijuana were also found. A motorcycle was also discovered.

In total, 455 kilograms of marijuana were located, which were subsequently handed over to the competent Prosecutor’s Office along with the motorcycle for further investigation.
