Washington.- Joaquín Guzmán López, brother of Ovidio ‘El Ratón’ and son of ‘El Chapo,’ surrendered to U.S. authorities along with Ismael ‘El Mayo’ Zambada.

According to a letter in the possession of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), written between 2014 and 2015, ‘Los Chapitos’ were named by their father as the heirs to his criminal empire, along with another of his operatives who is now a protected witness.

The arrest of ‘El Güero Moreno’ adds to the captures of Ovidio Guzmán, Néstor Isidro Pérez Salas, Gilberto Martínez Rentería, Rey David Santiago Vargas, and the death of Raúl Carrasco Lechuga, among others.
